Our biggest concern at the moment is fear.
Fear of the unknown, fear of the unseen. Fear of ourselves and each other. 😱
Yet our immune system protects us against these same threats every single day, with mostly great success. 💪
The fear is more damaging than the viruses, themselves. Fear leads to stress. And stress weakens the immune system, making one more vulnerable than one would have been if there were no fear.
“The bigger problem you have is the fear of the virus and the fear response. The biology of the body changes to put energy into escaping the fear… The biology of the body changes to a protection response that shuts down the growth and maintenance of the body. That shuts down the immune system. Stress shuts down the immune system to conserve energy…”
