The older I get the more I realize how much I still have to learn. So many things in my life which I thought I had together, I now realize I’m nowhere near figuring it out.
Something time has taught me though is that it’s ok. I don’t need to beat myself up about what I don’t know; I just need to be open to learning and growing.
God will lead and guide me along the way, bringing each new thing before me at the right time. He will show me one step at a time.
I realize that we need to be in the right place to learn some of these lessons. I wouldn’t have been able to handle some of the things I am now experiencing several years ago. I wouldn’t have understood them and I probably would have missed them all together.
Just like building blocks, once we have a solid foundation we can then build one block at a time to get to where we are meant to be.
I am humbled by knowing a loving God doesn’t take me to a raging river and push me in. He gives me the skills one at a time that I will need so that when I face that river I have what I need, through Him, to cross to the other side.
